Hello, Im Ash, This is my mini.

My mum bought me the car for my 12th birthday for £200, completely standard with 1 previous owner. Over the past 5 years I have just messed about with it and learned a fair bit along the way, all the money I ever earned went into the car, and paid for a few modifications which I put did, and I paid a "specialist" to make the car a flip front which fell apart after 6 about months.

Since I have had the Mini, my mum has been driving it ocasionally to various Mini shows all over the country, including Santa Pod and Birmingham for the International Mini Meet 2009.

After this time the Mini was starting to show its age, rust popping up all over the place, and various dents/scratches and of course that god aweful flip front.

So now I have finished school, all over summer I have been working and got all the overtime I could, which has given me the money to get the car properly sorted out by the guys at Autostyl.

Heres a few pics of whats happened and where its at for now:

The interior is kind of coming together too:

Got the back end lowered on some old wheels (for now):

So, thats where I'm at for the moment, the mini is back to a standard front, along with a few custom touches such as the van grille and finally a full respray. I plan to get the mini ready for my 17th birthday which is at the end of february.

Hope you all like!

Ash. :D

Done quite a bit more since I last came on here, but no pics.

The headlining turned up last week, I was very displeased with it to say the least, it was just a square sheet of checkered material. Anyhow, I attempted fitting it, It doesnt look too bad in places, just the corners went a bit weird, ill probably take it out and re do it again some time, but for now it'll do. :)

The front suspension and brakes have all been done, although the ride height isnt really changed at the moment because I am going to do that when the new wheels go on. Windows are in and the wiring is nearly done too. So although there is still a few bits I still need to get (bumpers, etc) it should be driveable by sunday. :D

Ash.

Those door trims look awesome man!

Been fairly busy recently again, got the dash fitted in:

(still need to carpet the bottom sections)

Fitted the arches:

Not sure whether to keep them black now that they are fitted, I'm kind of liking them, they do have a chrome trim that goes on them, its just not fitted yet.

Also, I re covered my door cards with some black vinyl:

Proper happy with how these came out! :D

MOT tomorrow, I'm not really expecting it to pass though, but you never know...
